Alright all you Mx'er electrical geniuses I have a puzzle that I can not figure out and maybe you are able to guide me in a better direction than I am going right now and that is my head in to a wall.

The problem I have is I am installing turn signals on my bike and the signals do not separate the flasher. When the switch goes left or right both signals go on like hazard lights. I have replaced the relay switch and that helped it flash and not just stay on. What next? I have taken the switch apart and the wires are saudered in place so I am unable to test the switch itself. Any help would be hugely appreciated.

Cheers

Electrical issues generally give me a headache but I have found that a $10 voltage meter from Wal-mart goes a long way toward easing the pain. You can then trace the incoming voltage to the switch and should (??) be able to figure out where the voltage is cross connecting such that both signals work regardless of whether left or right direction. Good luck and when all else fails, leave it alone for awhile, think about it and then tackle it again......................
