I looked at this "super" pocket bike a few years ago (before I decided to buy a real motorcycle instead:D):

http://www.minipocketrockets.com/x18-r-4-stroke-super-pocket-bike/

It´s very well equipped and very fast. It´s hard to argue with the price!

In terms of performance (and size), this strange bike falls somewhere between a normal 50cc pocket bike and a full size 125cc sportbike (such as the Yamaha YZF 125 for example).

It uses a 110cc Honda four stroke and is good for 70mph out of the box. Annoyingly, the CT DMV classifies it as a full sized motorcycle (the same as an R1 or a Harley) because it´s engine is larger than 50cc.

Is this fair? Shouldn´t this be classified as a pocket bike (albeit a really fast one)? Would you buy this for $579?

Lol there´s the problem with this thing. Because it´s considered a full sized motorcycle, it is street legal. But only with a license, registration, and insurance.

Suddenly it´s a lot more expensive than $579. But it would just be the coolest toy!

About the freeway, I would NEVER do that. But there are some who do. I have seen this bike bored out to 130cc and Turbocharged! 90 mph!

I was just about to get on here and complain about this guy who lives up the road riding his loud pocketbike up and down the road at least 50 times every saturday morning at like 8:00 AM, but found this thread -

That thing is cool and I am impressed at the speed!

Two of my friends bought these.

Word of advice, Tighten EVERYTHING when you get it. My friend was doing a wheelie across a parking lot, and the handlebars fell off. After that they both went through and tightened a total of 9 loose bolts.

They are uncomfortable to get on, but once you are locked into position its not too bad. Torquey enough for riding, but the height puts you right at the height of bumpers on trucks. Intense.
