I didn't know....didn't know that installing the highway bars would be such a pain in the butt!!!! It's two bolts on the bottom, why can't they just go thru the little tube and into the hole? It should be a straight shot but no...it's not! I forgot I needed another hand for this. One to hold the bar, one to hold the brake assembly in place and one to try and get that stupid damn bolt in the right way!! On top of that, I think I stripped the bolt..ggrrr....!!!!

Come to find out, the bars were made wrong. I emailed the guy and he said that he has had complaints before, he'll give me a refund and don't worry about sending them back. I ordered some Linbars instead. Universal saddlebags bracket to not fit my bike, back they go and I ordered some bike specific ones. Sissy bar, got it shined up and got the 4 new bolts I ordered for my bike. 2 of those bolts are not long enough...sigh So for the 3 weekend projects I had about 3/4 of one got done:) Once I finally get all this stuff on I'm never taking it off again!

I did an oil change & replaced the brakes on my mini van this weekend. A job that should not have taken longer than 3 hrs turned into a 10 hour job. Snapped wheel studs, stripped bolts, hard to remove parts, multiple trips to the auto parts store, etc etc. That said, it is nice to not have your brake pedal almost hit the floor when you slam the brakes. That and it actually stops the car instead of bring it to a gradual stop.

I am proud that I can down this stuff, but I am soar as hell today!
