Vintage leather jacket suggestion

Hey guys, I just got a green 72' CB350 and I'm having trouble trying to find a suitable leather jacket that goes with the bike. I want a leather jacket, brown or white, just not black, and hopefully I can wear it even when I'm not riding.

For those of you that saw the new x-men origins, I really loved wolverine's leather jacket. It has a nice leather worn-out look to it, but I'm open to suggestions. Thanks!

I would have to disagree with you Super. There's a good reason to buy leather whether it has armor or not, and that's abrasion resistance. Road rash, when drastic enough, can make you lose enough blood that you'll die anyway even if the impact didn't kill you. That in addition to things flying up at you while riding makes leather a good choice even without armor.

That's a good looking jacket though, and brown will get lighter as it's used. Might be what you need.

really, like i didn't know that leather has high abrasion resistance.

my point is, if you're going to buy gear it should have armor so you can at least try to prevent breaking bones or bruising body parts that are highly likely to see a lot of abuse in a crash.

there's no reason to pick one and not the other, abrasion resistance and bone protection go hand in hand when it comes to crashing. i crashed last year and suffered no damage despite rolling and sliding around a hundred feet. i would likely have broken a shoulder or elbow without the armor in my jacket.

Check out Schott Leathers - they pretty much invented the leather motorcycle jacket. Also, if you have the money - Lewis Leathers out of the UK is about as classic-leather-motorcycling-jacket as one can get, but a new one will cost you just over a grand.

Yup, Magnoli's kinda' pricey.

selmer = saxophones....

yeah, a little obscure for the non-saxophonists/non-musicians, and chosen long before I decided that I was going to use my real name on various fora, so there ya go...
