Looking at a few bikes...1982 Yamaha XJ6 Maxim and 1998 Honda Valkyriee.

Hello,
I found a very minty XJ6 for sale. All original. New tires. It has 8K original miles and is near flawless, everything works properly, and carbs are fine. They want $5400 firm for it. The owner bought it at the Mecum auction in in Las Vegas from the original owner. The Honda is also mint, with 25K miles. He wants $5400 firm for that as well.
I like both bikes for different reasons. Any thoughts on the prices and bikes?

I have a 98 Valkyrie Tourer, but all black with chrome. Price depends a lot on what market you are in. Great power cruiser for long rides. I pull a pop-up camping trailer with mine that weighs nearly 800lbs.

To me the Valkyrie is the more valuable,
famous, universally respected bike.

But if you won't be using it in a way that maximizes its features, and if you want something lighter, then go with the Yamaha.

What are you wanting to do primarily? If I was looking for a reliable daily rider I would have to be hard pressed to choose either bike for those prices. If you just want looks/nostalgia factor, go with which appeals to you more.
