Battery/Electrical issue....help please!!!!

Hi,
I have an 06 Kawasaki ZZR, and I rode it one night with zero problems, but the next day when I went to start it up, I turned the key, and non of the electronics, lights, or gauges worked...I had no power at all...It acted like the battery was completely dead... It didn't even click or try to turn over....I had nothing...I then jumped my bike and the electronics/gauges/lights all worked and I barely got it to start, but it ran very poorly...as soon as I took off the jumper cables it immediately died...I figure it's the battery, but I found it very strange that it was fine the night before, and the next day it was completely dead...Just wondering if any one else had any insight as to any other problem
this could be, or if it's just a bad battery... Thanks!

It sounds like the battery is the problem. Charge it up and see if that helps. You should check with a voltmeter once the bike is running that the battery is getting a charge off the bike's system.

VERY easy to test a battery: put it on a trickle charger for a couple of days. Then, put a voltmeter on it, disconnect the spark plugs, and spin the starter. If the batt voltage goes lower than 9V during starter cranking, the battery needs to be replaced.

No Power

I recently had my bike runnning well then stopped completly. No power, not idiots lights, nothing.

Battery was not the issue.

Determined it was a loose connection for the key module.
