2017 Kawasaki Z650 Dyno results!

I took the bike to Superbike Unlimited yesterday for a preliminary dyno to see where the bike needs tweaking, and to get a baseline to keep track of gains as we tune. For those not familiar, Superbike Unlimited is a well established race team and shop that sponsors tons of riders from WERA on up. Freddy, the owner, and guy on my bike in the video, is actually the 2015 SE WERA champ. These guys have tons of knowledge when it comes to sportbikes. They are mostly known for their R1 ECU tuning, but want people to know they can do about anything with two wheels.

I've been tossing the idea around and these guys have just about talked me into doing a few track days with them. Something I've always wanted to try. Mostly, I just enjoy tuning on vehicles and want to see how well the Z can be tweaked without spending a fortune. I'm just trying to get some solid info out there since so little is available.

The cost is part of a larger arrangement we have. Basically, they are mapping the bike as we modify and tune. They will pretty much be one of the first shops to do one of these, and so far, the only one that now has published hard numbers on a stock bike that we have found. Everything has just been speculation at this point.
