Hey ya'll!

I'm a brand new rider. I just got my endorsement last month and last weekend I brought home a Yamaha V Star 250. I'm a pure beginner - I've wanted to ride since I was a kid but I'd only ridden at ATV. Now I've got a bike, bought my gear and I've been out riding twice now.

The first thing I realized is that the stock mirrors on this bike don't work for me. My arms are in the way and I can't see behind me unless I lean over. I've adjusted the heck out of them but... no luck.

Does anyone have advice on good replacement mirrors that extend out a bit further? And to that - I am not really sure where to shop for motorcycle parts like this. I see a bunch of websites in my google searches, but what are some of the best ones to use, as far as reliability, price, well-packaged shipping etc...?

Bar-end mirrors could be your answer.
These are what I put on a bike.

Amazing how well they work.

I bought these at bikebandit.com, leatherup.com is another good place. Most likely your Yamaha dealer can get bikemaster parts.

Try loosing the base and move the arms forward. Retighten and then adjust the mirrors. You might have to do it a couple of times to get the view past your shoulder.
