Hi, after having problems with my engine I have tried to find a replacement (not an easy task) I wanted to find out if the Yamaha V Star 1100 A engine is the same as the Yamaha V Star J (& H,G etc) ?

I'm not familiar with most year models as it relates to the model designations. (A,J,G,H etc).
What year model is your "A" V-Star and what year model are the others you are asking about?

Hi, mine is V Star 1100 A Classic, and the one I am looking at is on ebay G YAMAHA VSTAR 1100 CLASSIC 2008 OEM ENGINE 308 Q65. I am trying to find out if it is compatible with my bike. I am in London and the engine is in the USA so I am nervous to just buy.
