Hi Guys, I am new to riding and have been looking at buying a new yamaha R3, i went to a showroom by where i live today to order one and the guy as talked me out of buying the R3, he was saying i would get bored with it after 4 weeks and should consider buying a a kawasaki er6f, i will be only using the bike for small trips 90% of the time and every now and then i might have to go on a long journey of around 200 miles which would be at most 2/3 times a year. i would appricate what some of the experienced riders think on this. I think they are trying to sell you something with a higher profit margin to make more commission.

No way you will get bored with the R3. Quite a few of them are bought by older guys with years of riding experience. GREAT bike for new or experienced rider. Check out the R-3 forum for a lot more info:
