Don't forget the fees and freight, which will add to the cost of the CF. The FZ-07 in 2016 had a MSRP of $7k, so $500 off for a seven year old bike with 16,000 miles on it doesn't seem like much of a discount. Perhaps if you would consider other bikes or broaden your search, you might be able to have some money. You can search by zip code on Cycle Trader.
The CF will have ABS, which didn't come to the FZ until 2017 if I remember correctly. Parts, service and dealer network would be a concern for a Chinese brand, though I've never owned a CF before or a Yamaha for that matter.
