I was thinking there seem to be quite a few folks with XS400s on this forum. Most of us seem to be pretty new to the motorcycle world trying to get our old bikes whipped into shape.

By the way, if you post repair questions in the repair forum more people will see your post. I don't think a lot of the repair forum regulars check this section.

I'm starting a list of all the 400 owners:
Fuax
Wallie S
Pmwarren
Huey
Gnash
Tylernt
Jwester77 XS400D
And Lhurt

I put a lot of miles on the big brother XS650 (1976) and that bike was bullet proof. I will still see one from time to time on the road. I love seeing these old bikes still cruisin around and it says a lot about them as well as their owners.

I've got an '83 XS400k maxim... 7100 original miles. Is there anything odd about a 22 year-old riding a 25 year-old bike? :)

aramfingal- that's the cover for the battery terminals, isn't it? My bike is missing that piece... haven't been able to find one for a reasonable price.
