I can only tell what I've read.
I've read that those wrap jobs don't last very long.
I heard that five or six years is about it.
I'd be mighty unhappy after paying a bunch of money
for it and finding it peeling off.
A good paint job can last a looong time!

I wonder if they would last much MUCH longer if you went one more step and put a couple of clear coats on them? Or if it would really be worth it anyway?

I get it. The reason I'm considering it is I'm tentatively going to do a fighter jet theme with adhesive decals and may want to change in a few years. Maybe putting decals on top of a wrap over primer will make them easier to remove altogether.
