It was a foot clutch bike with the clutch pedal on the left, high side, I still don't know how the hell I didn't drop the bike .
Maybe you zigged way to the right then zagged to the left to give you a better short reach to the ground with your right foot. That would work anyway. Sometimes we do things without thinking about it.

Well ;

The deal was : I was at a dead standstill on a sharp upslope that also tilted down to my right.....

It was pouring rain (like Asia for the Vets here) and after dark, blah blah blah.....

That was a fun bike , it went lickity split .

I tend to practice my swerving abilities by waiting until the last moment before riding over metal plates and man hole covers, this likely saved my life in 1976 in Guatemala City when I was riding my 1937 Harely-Davidson KnuckleHead too fast in dense traffic....

A BIG square open manhole appeared as I came 'round a bus, whew that one was close .
In Oz we had in the 60's-70's what were called 'silent cops' at intersections. They were usually a cast iron dome set in the road at intersections. I was on my Honda 450 twin and hit one of them as I rounded the corner. Me and the bike bit the asphalt. Not much damage to either of us, but I was pretty wary of intersections in Sydney after that....then there was the time that I hit some tram lines as turned into a street in Brisbane - you know the old saying - it handles like it's on rails? Not such a good thing in the circumstances.

They disappeared with the introduction of traffic lights and stop/give way signs- and back then if you hit one and fell off your bike - it was deemed your fault for not paying attention. Australia has only recently followed the US example of litigating almost everything - so yeah, probably good for the Transport Departments (or whatever Gov agency) to have gotten rid of them years ago.

Just so you don't feel all alone :

1972, I was young and in perfect health, riding with my buddy I pulled my freshly waxed 1965 Harley-Davidson Pan Head into the Mohawk filling station on a glorious Saturday afternoon, there were two well endowed girls sitting in a Triumph convertible as I pulled up to the pump, stopped and put my right foot down .

....Into a big puddle of spilled gasoline, this is like greased glass and no matter how mightily I tried I couldn't stop the bike from slowly rolling over onto it's right side .

My buddy and the girls all collapsed into wild laughter, I'm sure I turned beet red , they drove off laughing and that was that .

Well I did it again tonight! I fell down for my 8th time now!!! I’ve only been riding for maybe 6 months or so and have fallen down 8 times now and I can’t figure out why I keep falling? I feel like I’m a good rider I really do but for some reason I keep falling down.! Tonight I was driving around a gas station store and a car came around the other side kinda fast so I guess I pulled the front break while making the turn and like always I was on the ground! I must have the best luck ever because I have never been seriously injured actually in all but one of my falls I’ve jumped back up and rode off with out a scratch on my body! I’m just confused on why I keep falling down? If anyone has any ideas on why I’d love to hear them. Thanks in advance!
If the examples of you dropping the bike are similar to your gas station scenario, the issue is fairly simple. In fact, a few others have discussed it.
When you’re riding under 15mph, don’t use your front brakes. Especially when the handlebars are turned. It will pull you down like a magnet!
3 techniques! Friction zone - head/eyes - slight rear brake pressure. Even experienced riders who don’t practice these techniques are not comfortable under 15mph. Ridelikeapro.com is a great source for slow speed riding. He has a good YouTube channel.

Go on utube and check out a guy that goes by "motojitsu". Watch his slow speed training videos. He is very good and explains alot on the hows and whys of slow speed riding. I have been riding for almost 60 years and have recently been having trouble with slow speeds. A lot of it has to do with the heavy bike I got 3 years ago until I traded to something lighter. Also a lot of trouble came from lack of low speed riding skills that I really didn't need so much on former lighter bikes. Motojitsu's videos helped me a lot with developing my low speed riding skills. I had lost my confidence somewhat but with practicing slow speed riding and following his advice I am fine now.

I agree that MotoJitsu is a fantastic source!
I might disagree a little about the size and weight of a bike. If you get good at low-speed maneuvers by using your head and eyes, friction zone and rear brakes, the weight is irrelevant. Practice, practice, practice.

I did not read all the comments but I do agree with the very simple one of front brake + turning = Falling down. I'm a coach with the California Superbike School and work with a variety of different riders plus enjoy helping so if there are further questions you have about your riding or more you wish to explore, please let me know and I'll be happy to discuss and see if we can figure out what is going on.

I appreciate your willingness to reach out for support and your chill attitude in sorting through all the comments :) It's nice when riders truly want to help other riders.

Cheers
