wheel relacing

Does anyone know the offset for a 1970 Suzuki T250 front wheel I cut the old spokes off so I could get the wheel respoked but with the rim and hub disasembled the guy who is doing the work needs to know the offset of the hub to the rim so if anyone can help me out please email me at [email protected] or leave a message on this forum thanks Dan.

Are you sure there is an offset? When they have an offset there will be a reason for it. I don't know the bike but looking at pic's of it I do not see a reason for an offset.
Could be something I do not see in the pics though... So there is that.

Do you have the replacement spokes in hand? Or, are the part numbers/length of the outside spokes all the same? If they are, then it is likely there is no offset. Significant offset usually requires different length spokes on the outside, and different lengths inside, left to right, for four different length spokes.

You can determine offset amount based on difference in spoke lengths. You can plug into various equations. Here's good article on lacing wheels.

You should be able to tell what the offset (dish) is by the hub.
Assume zero if the flanges are equal distance from the end of the spacers.

Put the wheel in your fork and check that it's centered after snugging the spokes.
Rims should be trued to the fork and not the wheel building jig.

Thanks Rick the outside and inside spokes are different lengths and bent at different angles I checked Joe Zito relacing and it is good forum thanks but my problem the offset is taken with the hub and rim together my problem is that my wheel was taken apart for chroming before the offset was measured. So by looking at Joe Zito forum it looks like I will have to some how find someone with a factory manual with the offset is usually listed. If anyone out there has a factory manual for a 1970 T250 Hustler 71 and 72 front wheels are the same that has the measurements please let me know thanks Dan.

Thanks the spokes are different lengths the old English man that is doing the relacing has done quite a few wheels and there is a offset but he cannot check the offset because I have already taken the wheel apart for chroming.Because they are all different I need that measurement if anyone out there has a factory manual for a 1970-71-72 for the front wheel offset and can let me know that will help immensely thanks Dan'
I guess I misspoke - I meant the spokes on the left outside and right outside being equal would indicate zero offset; left and right inside spokes are certainly different from those, but would also be equal to each other in a zero offset wheel.
