I read about A Smart Chain in a Dirt Bike magazine. Does anyone know what it all about? How can a chain be smart?

If I were to guess, I'd say it had some method of letting you know it was worn to the point where it needed to be replaced.

I guess a smart chain would be one that stays connected.
