I HATE that phone. I had my Canon in a jacket pocket for a zero-mph fall. It is in the shop.

I often steal my wife's camera as in interim solution. All I had on that ride was that cursed cell phone with built-in camera. This was a been-there photo, not a wall hanger.
Still a nice pic!

That should’ve been posted over on my Fall Pictures thread.

What bike/engine are you working on back there on the workbench Mike?
It's an old Victory V92 that I was thinking about restoring but after looking into the situation with parts unavailability and cost I decided I don't want it bad enough to continue. One day I'll get around to selling some parts then junk the rest. Yill then it's a decoration for the garage :)

Unfortunately all I can do is just LOOK at my bike and I’m both fortunate and happy to be able to do so. Had a really bad accident on the 20th. Was stopped waiting for a car in front of me to turn left. Was hit by a Chevy Tahoe doing 60+ in a 45mph zone while “distracted driving” (on the phone!). Hwy Patrol said there were NO skid marks prior to impact. They had to extract me using jaws of life to pry open and cut the door off to get me out. Have broken ribs, whiplash, PTSD and a back injury, so I’ve been just lying around on pain meds. View attachment 76818

Oh well. Was hoping you might have a cool restoration going on there. 🙁
I did too, but I found that I could buy one in perfect shape for less than what it would cost to restore this one, even if I could find the parts, a lot of them are just basically unavailable or apparently made of solid gold, going by the price.
It was a cool looking bike though..

Rode 25 miles (with my skinny date in the back seat) to the Indian dealership (Rollin Fast Powersports) for their annual Halloween bash and kids trunk or treat. I wish I could have worn my costume on the ride but even without it I got plenty of funny looks on the highway. Once I was there I added the spider webs, spiders, skeletons, eerie lights, and candy for the kids, and then my alter ego the Killer Clown came out to scare my victims  at the trunk or treat.
The family that owns the business are great people and love Halloween, every year they spare no expense to throw an awesome party for customers, club members, friends, their kid's sports teams and Scout troops, etc. They spent literally 2 months decorating the dealership, animated figures, fog machines, spooky videos, music, lighting, it was like a funhouse, they must have had 150 people there.
A splendid time was had by all, my wife even got home earlier than planned and surprised me there, and best of all my passenger didn't lose any parts on the ride there or back.

Autumn in The Bitterroot looks quite bland to me compared to the hardwood forest photos I'm seeing there... kind-of like putting an old Vespa picture on the cafe racer thread.

That transit looks like it did it's job and protected you. Glad you are still around and kicking. 60 mph you are very lucky.

Now you did it, Doktor.
I'm with the guys on the left.
LOL.
Along with the full size bikes we have a few scooter riders at work, one of them is seriously hard core, rides that Vespa to work EVRY day, rain, shine, snow, heat, cold. The guy makes me feel like a wussy...true riders come on all types of bikes.

I was pretty dismissive of Vespas/scooters when I was a young fella. But then I travelled to Europe in '79 and while in Greece hired a Vespa. I rode that little scoot all over Athens and down the coast road to Sounion to see the Temple of Poseidon. It was reliable, handled well for what it was, and was just a blast. If I could, I would have one in my garage....just because.
