Me and my lady went for a nice ride on the Street Glide to a nice restaurant in Evansville, Ind. It has been a beautiful day.

So, How do these lectrick gloves work? batteries or plug into bike? Sounds like a great idea tho!
I didn't want to have a bunch of wires to deal with, so they have a battery pack that fits in the cuff. The gloves are thick, so I don't feel much of the actual heat, but they kept my fingers "not cold" while shoveling for about an hour in windy 20F weather. With regular Thinsulate gloves, my fingers would start getting cold after about 5 minutes and be numb in about 20, so I'm happy with 'em!

Hoping to get a commute in this week to see how they do on the road... if I can find a morning or two where it's at least above freezing...
Last summer I decided to try a Hanes Cool-Dri long sleeve shirt under my ventilated jacket. I didn't have any way of measuring its effectiveness, but subjectively it seemed like I was a bit less sweaty when riding on a hot day. And when I stopped for a break and took off the jacket, then I could really feel the evaporative cooling. The shirt seems to work.
Actually you posted something similar a while back which got me interested in the wicking t-shirts. Hanes is not available here, so I bought from a military/tactical gear shop. It's a Rothco, which had good online comments. The other thing is, is that the T is very large on me, so that might also have something to do with it, but I'm not forking out another $40 to find out.
Don't ever wear a BLACK T-shirt in HOT direct sunlight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Even my Harley T-shirts are WHITE.

Sam:)
My Ozzy R-jay mesh, padded jacket is all black (that's it in my avatar) and it's incredibly hot when at a standstill. I recently bought a primarily white tri-colour mesh/padded jacket. The build quality isn't as good as the R-jay, but it is lighter (weight and colour) and does seem less hot, even when in traffic. But it is the 'cooler' months here so summer will tell the difference.
What was the temperature you tried the shirt in @RogerC60. If not 100º or more...pffffttt. ;)
Yeah, it was low 90's with typical northeast Ohio humidity (70-80% range). So it might not work in Texas in the summertime.

Snug fit is pretty important for proper function. I had the luxury of buying mine on Amazon, I got a pair of them for $20.

Yeah, Amazon shipping and import duties/fees here are really cost prohibitive. Often costs much more than the value of the item...or they wont even send them here.

Installed new chain (DID X-ring) and sprockets (OEM) on the '17 Africa Twin. The chain was just starting to stretch a little bit @ 20K miles. The sprockets looked fine, but replaced them anyway. The engine oil/filters are fresh along with a recent coolant change. Next, I'll flush the brake fluids, check the brake pads and await the arrival of spring.

I will add the drive countershaft sprocket did have some slight play in it and the spline was bone dry. I doubt the factory lubed the spline at all. Sort of bummed the factory either missed it or they simply don't perform the task. No biggie though, the spline had no wear and I lubed it all up with moly enhanced grease.

You'd think they would have lubed the spline, thats a guaranteed failure eventually, it will start fretting corrosion and there it goes. Used to be a big issue with the shaft drive splines on Yamah Vstars, $.10 worth of moly paste would save a $500 spline from getting eaten.
Finally got some decent gear.👍

Yeah, sort of warped thinking on behalf of Honda to offer an extended warranty and then not lube a simple splined shaft.
