Me and my lady went for a nice ride on the Street Glide to a nice restaurant in Evansville, Ind. It has been a beautiful day.

Not a damn thing , today we have 3 inches of wet, slushy glop on the roads. Perfect weather to take the Subaru to work for a change.

Over my sunrise coffee , I looked the bike over and contemplated what I 'should' do to it today .
Being as it was 29° at the time , I wasn't really in much of a hurry to do anything .
It'll get to the sunny upper 70s this afternoon . So , after I take a nice little nap , while it warms up , I think I'll go for a bit of a ride .
That'll be a 'test' ride after the work I recently performed . ;)
Bummer, only place I could ride today is where I have plowed the snow off with the Kubota and it's still falling :( looks like I need to fire up the little snowmobile to beat down the motorcycle trails this year.

Today I managed to yank myself away from my studies long enough to return my recyclables to the Target in Branson West. It was in the high 50's which melted most of the snow, but I still had to be cautious in the shady wet spots in the twisties. Fortunately, we don't get much sand anywhere because the snow that was almost gone today had only been here since Saturday.(y) Rain/snow tomorrow, then back in the icebox for the weekend. Perfect weather for getting part one of my business plan for my class finished and making another dent in the tax stuff.
I'm pretty much passed the stinking COVID now and the weather was good today so I went out to my "test loop" for a play date with my Yamaha. We had a good time! While I was at it I tested traction on a known slick section of road.
Traction Good.. Bike Good.. Life Good.. :D

What did I do with my bike today? Nothing!
The shame is that it is going to be warm today, but this morning it was 19F and last night around 10 I had noticed that the side roads leading down the hill to the highway were wet from melting snow. I was temptedwhen i got up today but I was concerned, and I was right, they froze overnight and even in the car I slid my way down the hill, it would have been an ' interesting' ride. I need to find a better way for that last mile to the highway for marginal mornings.....
I know how to ride in the wet, even fast but I'd be on my butt if I hit as much as an ice cube...

Today , I finished the mechanical portion of my FA50 'overhaul' .
That consisted of replacing the rear drive seal and main bearing , replacing the business O ring in the AFV and installing a new piston , rings , wrist pin and bearing after a decent cylinder hone .
I guess I musta done something right , as the bike started purring on the second kick . ;)

Just the usual back and forth to work, it was a relative heatwave today at 31F at 0430, and it's actually going to be above freezing for the ride home, imagine that!
I'm pretty good at all weather riding but I think I found a tougher rider than me, there's a guy at work that's still commuting on his bike too, but he rides a naked Svartpilen 701 with no fairing or heated gear that I saw. You can see his bike hiding behind mine this morning. I don't know him, I saw him walking away once as I arrived and that's about it but based on this the guy must be superhero material.

Nice bikes. Is your bike touching that wall?

Nope, it’s close but not touching, I’m pretty careful about that. I’ve bumped the wall a few times and it’s rough concrete and left a mark.

Nice day for a 30 mile ride to breakfast and then the long way home, It even got slightly above freezing in the heat of the day. Roads are clear, plenty of snow on grass and dirt but not a flake remaining on anything paved.
Wearing a little extra clothing and riding sure beats sitting inside looking out the window wishing the winter away.

You need to park both bikes in one car slot or be sure to park in the middle of two if you take two. Like your wife's bike is parked at the outside is asking for trouble. Just sure as heck someone in one of those four wheel motorcycles we see everywhere will try parking it the leftover space. Park so only another bike can get in there or like you did taking up most of the space even though her bike doesn't need it.

Good advice^ .
Always command your space . ;)
Just rec'd a pair of IRC NR77 tires for my little Suzuki . But , it's only in the mid 50s . That's way too cold to be trying to mount tires on anything . It'll be up in the 70s in a couple days . I can wait . ;)

Good reviews , the lack of other tire availability and the fact that the current mounted tires are sidewall and tread cracked prompted my purchase . The old tires are only about 12 years old with daily miles and the wear bars are showing . They just don't make 'em like they use to . :(

The NR77 tread design is a bit too modern for my taste , but ...

Nothing. Parked them all in the garage and went to our beach house for the weekend. Will ride all of them next week to keep the batteries charged....kicking back on the front patio, looking at the ocean, JB in hand....not a bad life.
