Sorry man but you made me laugh because that is the exact kind of **** that happens here every damn day. One day of sunshine is truly a gift around here.Went up to about 38 degrees and the sun was out for awhile. I was thinking about trying to get a ride in since it has been almost 2 months without riding at all. Before I could act on the thought the sun went in, the snow started and the temps began to drop. I really hate Illinois.
I'd like to hear your results after about 5K. I have found that the best handling street tire you can get on the Triumph Classics, or any other vintage ride, are the Avon Roadriders. They hold up pretty well but they are a softer compound. They do well at significant lean angles and aggressive on-gas corner exits.I am trying this Pirelli Scorpion Trail on the rear which is designed for 90% or so onroad and 10% dirt/gravel.
I'll let you know. I have a couple thousand mile ride coming up in June (Florida to Michigan, about a week) to test them and some shorter ones before then.I'd like to hear your results after about 5K.
