Me and my lady went for a nice ride on the Street Glide to a nice restaurant in Evansville, Ind. It has been a beautiful day.

Installed a Digital Guard Dog 4V module. Now the bike will not start unless the "dog tag" is present. Next up I need to call the insurance company and see if they will give me a discount for such a security device.
Never heard of this company before but it looks VERY handy. I was all jazzed about it....even read the installation manual - which doesnt look that bad really, couple hours tops to install.

......then I got to the price....eeeeeck. $450? Yeah, Im gonna keep using my key.....lol.
....Ive not been on the net much lately....getting in all the last minute riding I can.

It was 68 degree here in Iowa today....yeah.....68 degrees.

Its been almost 60 most of the week.

So what I did with my bike this week was....

new exhaust (sounds less like a blender, more like a muscle car)

new hi flow air filter

shorty antenna

kickstand extension (the Vic kickstands can be hard to hook with your boot)

changed out the quick release dzus fasteners on saddle bags to the not so quick release but less likely to shuck your bags off going down the road fastener commonly called a "bolt"

wired up my headlight modulator (nobody makes one for these that are plug and play.....so I had to order some factory type plugs and solder one up)

first service - 500 mile oil change

I had wired a hidden cut-off switch into the wiring to the starter solenoid on the Springer. The bike won't start unless they know where the switch is, regardless of whether the key is in or not. About 10 bucks. I haven't put one on the Roadking yet, but it's on my list of stuff to do.
I washed and waxed this morning, and polished the chrome, and installed a new cover. I'm taking the golf cart to watch football.

Who dey!

I bought the 4V, not the full blown keyless system. I got a deal on it as a member of another forum and the security only aspect cost me all of $129, not $450.
I have seen the hidden switch trick before. My dad did that on a 1955 pickup. If you don't know where to look, the thing is just a dead vehicle even with the key ON.
I did that to a 77 Blazer once. Worked great while I had it. Sold it and told the new owner about it. He removed the switch and the next time I saw him he said someone stole the truck. I still laugh about it.
Rode the Bonny to the ATM. Daughters b-day.
in the 60's today. I jacked the bike up pulled the windshield, passenger's back rest, side panels, and my hard bags. I then pulled both seats, the battery and the battery box. Removed the ignition module and replaced it with a Dynatek 3000. The newer units are computer controlled and no longer set by dip switch setting. It is going to be a ***** to get a USB cable in there to adjust it.

I filled up the tank with Staybil and gasoline and rode for about 10 miles to get it all through the system.

Got the new handlebars in, road lights and mounting bar. Cleaning everything and everything installed over the winter are on my project list.

I'd like that on mine but can't justify the cost for eye candy. Sure does dress them up though.
Hey Hogcowboy, I went to the National Cemetery then rode over to St. Augustine to look around. I heard there was a swap meet nearby so I went to take a look and I ran into my friend that I just switched out the fork sliders for, so I took two pictures for you. I think what really makes this set-up look nice are the machined wheel spacers. They fit within about 1/64 of the rotor bolts, but they don't rotate with the wheel. Pretty slick! Anyway, enjoy.

Swapped out my stock windscreen for a Puig racing windscreen. Took it out for a shakedown run and a few WOT passes.

Rub it in Eye!!! That does look great. You are right about the spacers. I've not seen that before. Really dresses things up nicely.
I've been thinking about some Carhartt bibs, longjohns aren't the best, plus when I get to where I'm going the bibs can be easily removed.

Went out on the Buell again today, Harley is put up for the winter, Yamaha is about to be put up, and leave the Buell out for when we get good riding days this winter.

Wife pointed out I have been riding the Buell alot, and I have, I can't help it, it s just so much fun to go out for little twisty rides.

Stopped at friends to see if he would ride it, he hasn't rode in years, he won't ride the Harley or the Yamaha, he saw that little Buell and said you gonna let me ride it. I said get your longjohns on. Off he went. He came back with a big smile. Made my day.
Did a nice 60 mile ride on the Striple this morning. Temp was 55 and expecting rain this afternoon. Got to talk to another rider in a parking lot. We both were out enjoying the day. I don't know if he is on this forum or not but if he is it was good to have met you.

Rode it and washed it.50 degrees out.But not for long.
It's been raining and 51* here--just sought of St. Louis--since before 7 a.m. I'm betting that is on it's way toward you jmb. Anyway, I've spent the day on the Forum and searching the net...looking at bikes. Now I have to get off of my butt & get with it...:) :)
Took out the Yamaha today, went around my favorite loop, no leaves, but I was still taking it easy.

Back in town and went shopping for .380 rounds, nobody has them. Everybody has 9mm, including me, so I guess this weekend I will be shooting 9mm.

Went out around the lake, still just cruisin.

Came back and parked beside the Sportster, hook it up and cover it tomorrow. I doubt there will be anymore days my wife will get on a bike, until spring. So until then I'll just ride the Buell.
LOL Eye---that would be "south" of...I was hurrying to get going. Had to pick granddaughter up from preschool & take her to dance class.
Oh, okay. I looked at it frontwards and backwards and sideways and wasn't sure what you meant. :)
I had eye surgery last week, that went very well took a ride on Saturday, very scary. I cannot get new glasses for a month. Needed glasses to see anything, now have great vision in "new" eye. But need glasses for old eye. Think I will have to leave bike parked until I get new ones.
Surgery was to remove a cataract due to an old eye injury. Pretty much popped my right eye when I was 25. Great surgeon was able to put it back together back then. He did tell me it would grow a cataract early.
So I just wiped my bike down today.
