Me and my lady went for a nice ride on the Street Glide to a nice restaurant in Evansville, Ind. It has been a beautiful day.

I tried sitting on a Mustang seat once, but my butt didn't fit it, I kind of sat "around" the divot (felt like I was sitting on the old outhouse seat, with the open space under my a$$ lol)
Tried on a friends bike( he has the same bike). I liked the way it felt. Like they say there is a seat for every ...... butt.

Nothing looks better than a clean polished black bike
I rode into work today, I took the Vstar since it's still filthy and salty from last week and the roads around here are still salted in places. I figured since I have to wash it already a bit more dirt wont hurt. :)
I did underestimate the temperature, the forecast was 48-50 but I never checked in the AM, and it was pretty darn cold, I really could have used my electric gloves. Turned out that it was 38 this morning..brrrr..but I survived :)
That's what happens when you get used to sitting behind a fairing. You forget it's still cold even though the wind may not be so bad.

How many is that now? Did you get a blue one to be like Soup?
Nice looking bike, Gator Joe. You do have a knack for acquiring standouts! :icon_cool:

I had to go see my buddy who's buying a place in Penn Argyl this morning.
Yep, it was a bit cold going out alright, but I was dressed for it.
Coming home this afternoon, something strange happened. It took me almost
two hours and 80 miles to get home! I could've sworn that it was only about
45 miles and one hour going out this morning! Maybe the warm afternoon
sun had something to do with it. Or maybe it was the way the bike handled
the curves with the new Michelin tires. All I know is, I ended up taking every
back road that I knew (and some that I didn't) on the ride home.
Along the way I detoured south and scouted out your favorite
place, Petey's Eateys, for a future Saturday morning ride with my buddies.

I don't know where you are seeing all this salt, Mike. I put on over 130 miles
today and I didn't see anything more than a bit of left over sand or gravel
in a few corners.
That was the best ride I've had since last fall!!
Yeeeha! It's spring!!

The reasons for sitting behind a fairing far out weights the opposite effects:71baldboy:

But you are right....every time I'd jump on the wife's Sporty in colder temps I'd realize that right quick like:biggrin:
Wow, if you were in Pen Argyl you probably rode right past my house, I live on 512. It was a great day to ride, this evening was especially nice.

Our paths could have crossed today, time was limited but my wife and I took a short ride tonight around what we call "the loop", Start in Bangor at home, down hill on 512 to 191, then 191 to Belfast (stopping in the Elementary school parking lot for 20 minutes so I could practice slow U turns riding the Vision) , then up Sullivan Trail (past Petey's) to Wind Gap, then 512 to Pen Argyl and then back downhill to Bangor.

The worst salt is in the area near work at Newark Airport, I78 local between the airport and Rt 24 in both directions is still white with salt, they pre-treated it heavily with brine before that fizzled little storm last week and then salted on top of it when the 1/2 of snow fell. 24 has some but it was much better by the time I was headed home. Rt 80 was pretty much clear of salt from end to end.

Beautiful bike GatorJoe. I'm sure you are enjoying it on some fast curvy roads. Do they have those in Florida? LOL

I guess you can keep it, but it's your responsibility to make sure it gets fed, and taken for rides, young man. *waves finger*

Super Glide.........
Yesterday was a work day..I finally got the carburetors all set up in my wife's Vstar650 . After changing the intake and pipes to the new ones she got for Christmas it still wasn't running quite right. She's been riding it, and it was already running better than it had originally (it was way too lean when I started, it had stock jetting and roadhouse pipes) but still had a midrange hesitation that was enough to be annoying. Adjusting the PMS screws helped but it wasn't quite there...After some more online some online research, yesterday I shimmed the carb needles 2 washers out ( and of course re-synced again) and that was the magic sauce..it runs smooth as silk, accelerates like an electric motor, and since I removed the AIS not the slightest burble or pop in the exhaust on deceleration.

With the Hypercharger and HardKrome pipes I think her's runs better than mine now, and I'm pretty sure I WILL lose the next time we get into a race getting on the highway. I'll just have to offer to race her with the Vision, that should solve the problem :)
