Me and my lady went for a nice ride on the Street Glide to a nice restaurant in Evansville, Ind. It has been a beautiful day.

I bought a new 20 pound propane tank and got it filled. I filled three cans of gas. I bought a packet of 16 2" by 1" slats at 8 feet long, and a package / bundle of R12 insulation. Then a bunch of groceries, and brought it all home.

Can you do that?

Unkle Krusty*
Pretty good Krusty but I guess you discovered somewhere in your years that a bungee doesn't work for heavy items that might shift. I have a small ratchet nylon strap I carry for the if in case times.

Got Rid of the the Weak ass OEM Battery on the Scout and Replaced it with a Deltran Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4).. Hopefully with much Better Results ..

After load Testing was time for it to go ..

Got it for a Decent Price as well through Amazon ..

You couldn't find a AGM battery in the 300CCA range? Or you just wanted to go with Lithium? That's not the kind that are catching on fire is it? I'm not familiar at all with all these new batteries.

Many Aren't won't even say I am all that familiar with LiFePO4 .. But know several that have had them for a couple years anyway and had nothing to say but positive things .. But no couldn't find an AGM with proper Ah or CCA that would have fit in the limited space the Scout has other than the OEM which to me is cheap junk and just another way they saved money on the Scout as did with Suspension & Tires ..
Sounds like they went cheap in the whole line of bikes. I see the same complaint on the Chieftain anyway. But at least there I do believe there are other options. I keep hoping ODYSSEY will catch up but so far they say there isn't enough demand.
You nailed it. If your in the area it's a good spot to stop for hotdogs and ice cream. I'm told the cheesesteaks are good too but I haven't tried them yet. Some good hiking trails are just down the road in Jacobsburg park too. Peteys is actually my wife's favorite doggy stand, mine is Hot Dog Johnies in Buttzville, NJ. http://www.hotdogjohnny.com HDJ is a local landmark and fairly well known, lots of people make it a destination on a ride, it's a really scenic riverside spot. I've been going there for years, in fact thinking back I have arrived there by car, motorcycle, bicycle, hiking, kayak, and canoe.
So I'm not 100% sure - but here is my guess:

Petey?s Eatey?s
5879 Sullivan Trail
Nazareth, PA 18064

Mike will have to confirm or deny....

What a guy! He tells us it's his favorite roadside stand, but he doesn't tell us where it is or how to find it!
Well? C'mon! Give!
Thanks Mike.
I'm very familiar with Hot Dog Johnny's.
Trouble is, I don't like hot dogs. (mystery meat) LOL!!
But Peyey's Eateys' sign says they have burgers and fries and cheesesteaks and ice cream!
NOW you're talkin'!
I'll have to put that on the list of places for me and my riding group to look for!
Meanwhile, I'll look it up on a map!

Edit: Just looked it up on GoogleMaps. Looks like a nice scenic ride from where I am. Petey's Eateys is now on my "To Do" list.:thumbsup:
Hey Mike721, do they have a place to sit inside and eat? Or is only outdoor window service. I looked at the satellite view and from the air it looks like a gas station with no place to sit, no benches or tables.
J and I went to a liquidation sale in Columbus and did not even scratch the surface in what they had. It is estimated that there are 25 million dollars in bike parts there. some is from WWII and Harley. http://www.liquidap.com/portfolio/3967-id-dixie-distributing-public-liquidation-sale-begins-oct-12/ With a smart phone and googling the part numbers, some of the stuff we picked through could be matched to the bikes it fit. Just overwhelming at all the stuff they had and not organized at all. Not crowded either.

I bought 4 batteries and three were Yausau. Ten bucks each. Scored some new wheels and mufflers for cheap. The place closed early so we went to the Rice Paddy [old Jap parts] just to find out where it was and the young guys running it showed us around a bit even though it is officially closed on Wednesdays. They said that they probably have a fork tube for my CL175. We are going back to both places.
One of the wrenches at Rice Paddy had built a steampunk from an old 1920's Harley frame and a rebuilt motor. Very cool, as the tank was mounted beneath the top frame bar.

All in all a good day--Except when we tried to get a bite to eat at the local places. it turns out that we were in the Short North and in hipster Heaven. Places where fair trade coffee and organic tofu reigned supreme. We did not even understand how to buy food in those places as we could not discern if they were delis with no price lists or restaurants. Google and a smartphone got us to Wendy's and something we could understand...

They have plenty of seating, tables and benches on a roofed over open sided patio, plus a few extra tables and a brick wall for overflow seating without a roof.

**** I couldn't even see it It's in the shop and I have some knee damage ( on crutches! ) so IT-SCUCKS!
But have a few plans.

Excellent Mike. Thanks! I just wanted to make sure that there will be room for our group if we go there. I'll probably show up with seven or eight friends in tow!
I stopped by there today,in the interest of research I tried the cheesesteak it's great!
Plenty of seating under the roof and by the wall.

Seating area, so you can see the size. It's a nice place to stop.
I had dropped the bike a couple of months ago and bent the brake lever. Bought some new levers and they came in so put them on today. While I had the clutch lever off went ahead and lubed the cable and bled both front and back brakes :)

Must be pet friendly as well judging from the wet doggy prints on the floor. ;)
I decided to move my Goldwing indoors into my little man cave. Barely fit it through the doors but I made it. I'll be tearing down the fairing to convert it to a naked bike (though NOT a well-done conversion ;) ). I did manage to get all of the fairings off this evening, so now it will just be a matter of figuring out where to mount all the additional electronic components that were housed in the fairing.
Thanks Mike! The satellite image shows
the back of the building. None of that is really visible. I appreciate the help. Petey's in on my list for a spring ride!
I joined 6 other bikes and we went for a 2 hour ride to lunch. Had lunch at a restaurant overlooking the bay. Then 2 hours back home. I got a new camera for Xmas and tried it out. Unfortunately where I had it mounted I only got video of my speedometer.
