Me and my lady went for a nice ride on the Street Glide to a nice restaurant in Evansville, Ind. It has been a beautiful day.

Today XS400

Made a rough and ready seat cover for when it rains.
Checked the oil level, air pressure and oiled the chain. Also did a trip around the Island. Heading to the mainland tomorrow. Supposed to be the best day of the week. And I will take the mid day ferry when it is a bit warmer.
Could say I was getting soft, but last time I did this trip it was around 30F when I left. Should be around 38 tomorrow, and it better not rain, although I am prepared.

Another pretty day here, not quite as warm, but still nice. Got about 25 miles in today, just riding to nowhere and exploring back roads I hadn't been down yet.
Myself and two other friends made a 186 mile loop into Texas to eat at a Cajun restaurant in Groves.....some really good tasty seafood...then went to Beaumont and went to Specs to pick up some depleted "medicine " stocks....twice as cheap as any other outlets..
Ole girl did well ...40.6 mpg
Changed out my exhaust, since I need an inspection and the straight pipes that came on the bike when I bought it aren't quite kosher.
Had my gall bladder removed yesterday...and today ain't no picnic in the park.....doc said I was gonna be sore but this really sucks.....

Two weeks before any rides or golf...Christmas season will dull that pain LOL
I hope that you make a speedy recovery and can have a safe and Merry Christmas in spite of your surgery.

There is medicine for that. Comes in quarts and things called 5th's. :D
My sweet wife has put the quahadis on that ...she has never given me any bad advice in the last 31 years.....don't want to change my luck this far into the game
Take it easy and heal.
First real ride today. Took the bike up to chappel hill. Started out pretty cold but it's warmed up enough to shed a jacket. Beautiful day too! Gonna be heading back in a bit and learn how to brew beer.

Hell of a saturday!
Yikes! For real?
Rest up and get well soon, 2 weeks..you can manage that .

I rode for the first time since my carpal tunnel surgery, I was patient, it's been a whole week :)

My wife and I took a lunch break from a day of cookie baking and rode 20 miles to her favorite roadside stand, Petie's Eaties, for some awesome bacon wrapped chili cheese dogs. Usually an outdoor stand isn't the greatest lunch option Christmas week but it was 41 degrees and bright sunshine, a perfect day for a ride. She was trying out her new Arai helmet, she bought herself an eArly present, it's a great helmet but wow was it $$$! Good thing I have a head like a rock and can get by with a cheap helmet :)

My hand feels good, it's still sore and weak and needs more healing time but for the first time I could actually feel the throttle grip while riding, no tingling or numbness after 1/2 mile like before. This is going to work out well.
Yesterday.

Rode back from the mainland. Dodged the rain. Put a GPS on the bars to check speed. The XS400 is quite accurate at 65. I recall the XS11 was off, and read about 5 too much at that speed.
Will go up Island today for supplies. Be on Yami with Inder side car.
Was around 35F earlier. Nice that the days are getting longer.

What a guy! He tells us it's his favorite roadside stand, but he doesn't tell us where it is or how to find it!
Well? C'mon! Give!

I can't believe the decent weather that we're having in December. I was at the track the other day and it seemed like everyone there already had their bikes polished up for the winter.
So I'm not 100% sure - but here is my guess:

Petey’s Eatey’s
5879 Sullivan Trail
Nazareth, PA 18064

Mike will have to confirm or deny.... :)

Today on Yami.

I bought a new 20 pound propane tank and got it filled. I filled three cans of gas. I bought a packet of 16 2" by 1" slats at 8 feet long, and a package / bundle of R12 insulation. Then a bunch of groceries, and brought it all home.

Can you do that?
