Can anybody help? I have a 1997 Vulcan 1500 classic with 18,000 miles. When I shift from 1st to 2nd it makes a slight grinding sound. Not too bad if I shift at low RPM but gets worse if I really get on it. I've changed the engine oil with the recommended type, changed the clutch fluid and bled the line. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

It might just be how it is. My Virago would do that that if I shifted from 1st to 2nd quick.

Is it all the gears or just 1-2?

Maybe a synchro issue? At this point, I'm in over my head. My transmission knowledge makes an abrupt halt right at the clutch.
