It was the bike my father was working on when he died. My younger brother found it in a building where my dad worked. It was in pieces but seemed to be all there. My brother worked on getting it in the shape it is today. He keeps it under lock and key in an airplane hanger and rides it maybe 100 miles a year. He's not a Harley guy - usually can be found riding a Ducati - but is highly attached to the bike for sentimental reasons and because the bike is just cool. I've ridden it twice, not far, and the coolness factor is definitely there...

I totally understand the attachment. You are both very lucky. The only thing I got of my dad's is is DD214 papers. Everything else his second family got. Guess that's why I think you are both lucky.
