Yes, but I bet you'd break a lot less drills using one that big. :smile:
You'd also have a lot less bolt after drilling... :surprise:
The lack of bolt left after drilling is the issue.
" A little knowledge can be dangerous " is something I heard often while serving as an apprentice. I still apply the same thoughts. It helps explain my grumpiness about newbies telling the more experienced what to do. And the online writers, who get orders from the boss, to write an article about body position, or ABS brakes and so on.
Some here may recall the video describing the dangers of bike wobble. In a straight line. All bunk IMO.

Yeah, a brake caliper bolt with a 1/8" hole all the way through. Hmmmm
What could go wrong .... :surprise:
We drilled the pointy edge area, not thru the middle. And smaller than 1/16. Lock wyre is 1/32 or less from memory. Jim Dunn from WA had a cool tool that twisted the wyre. Common now but rare then. He taped 6 inch pieces of wool to the fairing. Took photos of it at speed. Old style wind tunnel.
