Well I said I'd let you all know what the results where. Biopsy came back inconclusive. Can't tell either way. They did another type of biopsy today, results will be in on Friday, so just a few more days of waiting. But they also did another type of ultrasound, and surgeon thinks it may just be a fiber something or other, but does have some areas that the lines aren't as clear as she'd like it to be, so she can't say for certain one way or another. This waiting game is just obnoxious!! With my family history, I can't take the chance of waiting it out too long. If this biopsy comes back inconclusive, we are just going to do a lumpectomy. It's a 10 mm sized solid mass. Being around mechanics all my life, I said to the doc, "so I got a 10mm socket stuck in my boob"...yep, that's about the size of it!! I'll post back in this thread friday with results.

Best wishes of course. Hope your "socket" is benign, and it's just a matter of getting it out.

We'll celebrate with a ride to Rhode Island if you want!!!

Hang in there. Just be aware that not all labs are equal in their technology. In my case, they sent the thing to a 'better' lab in Columbus after Dayton had a shot at it. Ask plenty of questions so that you understand exactly what they are doing and why they are doing it. With so many people who are specialists who are involved in a case like this,it kind of becomes your job to write down and keep track of what each one of them says.

That being said, here is hoping for a good outcome and a clear result...

Well, I got the best news any gal could ask for!! It was just a Fibroadenoma with fibrosclerosis tissue surrounding it. which was what was causing the confusion. Nothing atypical or malignant found. Doc doesn't want to remove it, as it sometimes causes more scar tissue that could be mistaken for trouble on future exams. Will retest in 6 months to make sure it is not growing. What a freaking relief!!!!!! With my family history, I wasn't so sure it was gonna be good news.

October is Breast Cancer awareness month. Ladies, save your ta ta's and get checked out. Men, make sure your women get tested. With early detection, the chances of survival are extremely high. Breast Cancer is one of the leading causes of death in women. And even men with man boobs can get it too. And if we women have to squish our boobs every year, you men must get those family jewels checked out every year.....

Don't become a statistic.....

Alot of places give free or reduced cost mammograms during the month of October, so don't let money be an issue. You'll save yourself tons of money in the long run

Thanks!!

Ladies, you need to know if you have Dense Breast Tissue. Ask your gyno to check for that. If you have dense tissue, sometimes breast cancer can be missed with a mammo. Women like myself with dense tissue, should also have an ultrasound along with the mammogram. I never knew that until this month.

Great news zippy. But don't let them just overlook that area in the future. Things can hide in there.

Congrats Zippy!!! God answered our prayers. You might end up only having the ultrasound somewhere down the road. It's so much better than getting that squeeze job. :)
