I’m from Montana. I bought a bike here with no title. The owner and I wrote out a bill of sale but didn’t get it notarized. Montana requires a bill of sale to be notarized. I’m having trouble contacting the guy now so I thought I would look into the Vermont thing. Still hoping to get in touch with the seller. What do you mean? Are you a resident of Vermont? Are you from another state buy want to buy a bike you've found for sale in VT?
What's the issue?
Thanks. I’m looking at all options right now.Not good, good luck with it, some states will allow you to go to court, or bond a tittle and a few other ways, easiest is the previous owner having a title in their name obviously.
I haven’t yet. I read everything on the website. On there it sounds pretty strict but maybe there’s a human in there.Did you contact Montana Vehicle Services Bureau to ask their advice on which way you can proceed? Connect with Us - Montana Department of Justice
It seems there must be a way. Even the bureaucrats should recognize this as a possible legitimate transaction.
Thank you. I think I still need a notarized bill of sale. That’s what is holding me up now. The guy I bought it from is hard to get ahold of.I have done this with my allstate scooter you have to look up international title service from las vegas and call Sarah and tell her what you have and she will mail you the forms it cost about 350.00 and takes close to a month.
