Gonna start this off by saying I have no clue what I'm doing or talking about. I'm new as hell to riding, so don't haze me too much. I own a 93' Yamaha FZR 600. My throttle won't spring back, I'm almost positive it's because of missing parts. The throttle cables seem to be working fine, and I sprayed the carbs not too long ago.
I've been doing a bunch of research online, can't find anything worth much... that's why I made my account on here in hopes of solving this problem.

I'll attach a photo of my throttle, what part(s) am I missing?
My guess: throttle control
Wanted to get more insight before ordering a bunch of **** I might not need. If you could leave some comments on what I'm missing and basic knowledge on the assembly of a throttle I'd appreciate it.
Thanks,
Tylersg

Well there is a throttle lock (sometimes called a cruise control) in the pic.
It and the throttle twist tube seem to be in the wrong place best I can tell from the photo.

I don't install throttle locks because I don't trust them to allow the twist tube to snap shut like it should.
First thing I'd do would be to pitch that throttle lock... But that's just me.

You may or may not be missing parts. Possibly the parts you have only need to be assembled correctly.

More pics and more of an explanation would be helpful.

Hey, thanks for the response! Since that photo, I've already removed the throttle lock and grip.
A better explanation of my issue:
My throttle is getting stuck when I pull it back. Meaning, if I pull back the throttle it will stay there revving the hell out of the bike unless I manually push it forward. The movement of the throttle is smooth, but it doesn't return back to it's original position on it's own. I've heard of "throttle springs," "throttle controls," and now "twist tubes." Not sure what I need or what controls the function of returning the throttle back to position. I also already lubed the throttle cables, didn't help.

If this didn't help explain, I can take more photos. Let me know and thanks again!
