So, I'm looking at dropping the 31 year old Goldwing (will likely keep it and fix it up once I get a garage) and picking up another bike that will serve as a two-up touring bike. I'm looking at some Victory bikes, but I'm also considering a Harley for its ubiquitous dealer support. Given the Twin Cam engine's chain tensioner problems I'm looking at an older bike with the Evo engine.

There's a 1996 Softail on Craigslist for a decent price that I'm considering taking a look at. Anything I should know about these mid-90s bikes?

EVO is a Fine Engine .. Not getting into a Debate but it basically saved HD's Bacon after AMF was ready to Dump them ..

Road King is the best looking HD in my opinion.
