Charles F. Taylor (1916-1997) was an American Engineer and Inventor with a passionate hobby: the development of a one-wheeled vehicle.
In the 1950s and 1960s, Charles F. Taylor designed and tested various prototype one-wheeled machines that were stabilized and steered using gyroscopes. A Colorado native, Taylor believed that 2 and 4 wheeled vehicles were not designed for mountain trailes and his dream was to build a one-wheeler all-terrain vehicle, that could deal with the challanges of rough terrain far better than it's multi-wheeled counterparts.
