Taking M1 exit with no prior riding experience, need help

So i have to take motorcycle safety so i can get insured to get my XR150L or Grom. My bank which is the best offer i can get, said they would insure me if i take motorcycle safety or hold M1 for 3 years. The course starts on the 26th and goes til the 28th. I have to get a hotel room for the nights i am there.
Does anyone know what i should do to study? I tried reaching out to the instructor but she still hasn't gotten back to me after like 2 weeks. So idk what books i would need since it says on the site that the books are not provided.
Getting kinda nervous since i have never drove a bike before. The safety course also includes the M1 exit so if i pass i can get M2 as soon as i can. But i am getting super worried about failing the M1 exit. It is a lot of trouble to get out to Orillia to take the test, so if i fail then i might not be able to get the bike cuz the insurance could be too steep. I live in Ontario, Canada if you couldn't tell. The equivalent would be MSF in USA. I think i can try again in town if i fail but idk if i can like fail motorcycle safety or if you just have to show up to class.
Does anyone know what the test involves? What do the instructors like to see and how hard is it to pass?

Does that course have a web site? If so, read the FAQ's etc. Maybe it has answers to some of your questions.

Honestly you would think the FAQs would answer some of my questions. But no it says nothing. It doesn't even tell me where it is happening. Its a college so its not a scam or anything. In fact the site is so bad when i click resources it goes to a 404 page, with no wayback machine results. Its like they haven't updated the site in years.
Most i could find was a pdf that basically just told me the same ****. Still nothing about books or anything. The site is terrible lol. Although looking at that PDF i can tell its just stopping, starting, gear shifting and then later there is some collision avoidance. Seems pretty basic.
Honestly found more useful information on youtube then the actual site. It seems pretty easy. Still have no idea about the safety course beforehand though since the site is so bad.

I don't know about Ontario, but when I took the class the first half was in the classroom and the second half was on the course doing really simple stuff like stopping and turning. The second day was mostly on the course learning things panic stops, figure eights and swerving. I and three or four of my classmates had zero experience, and no one came close to failing. It's all pretty basic. Worst case is you'll have to take it over again. It'll suck, but you'll forget about shortly.

Keep watching as many of those videos as you can before you take the course. They give you a good idea of what they are going to teach.

Thanks dude. Ya from the videos i have been watching it seems pretty simple. Plus the riding day scheduled says it goes from 8-5 of riding motorcycles. So it seems like they will let me get used to a bunch of different starter bikes so i have time to practice a little, its not like they just throw you right into the test with nothing. The one video i posted, that will probably be the test but i will see the pylons more clearly. I remember when i was doing car safety i didn't have to get the book or really study or anything. Probably overthinking it which might actually make me fail, stress probably isn't good for riding motorcycles.

I'll probably be that guy in class. Who keeps talking about the bike he's going to buy. The XR150L, and how they should probably just get that too since its cheap and you will want it more. It can't go super fast but it is great off road lol and you might as well just buy that one too.

I like most of Fortnine's vids but "f" yammie. He's a dirty dog.

When I was prepping for my class, I watched a ton of vids, and practiced on my "air cycle", i.e. kinda like air guitar. I was the only one in our class of 8 who had zero experience on a bike but tried to stay relaxed throughout. Turned out just fine...

Lol what's wrong with yammie? I like fortnine better cuz he's way funnier. But yammie is ok.
Be sure to let us know how it was and that you passed.

Do a little background research and you'll see. His content is alright, I just think he's extremely self-centered and has done a few people wrong over the years.

I would suggest less talk and more listening. I have found after a lifetime of experience, you get better results that way. Oh, and just go with Steve. ;)

LOL I should be able to pass just fine. From what i am seeing here from what the instructor sent me. Its pretty idiot proof. Unless you like fall off on the final test or don't listen to the instructor. Like 98% of people pass. The instructors really want you to pass and as long as you just follow their instruction you should be fine. Plus they let you play around on them for a bit, so you can get the bike that will make the test that much easier and you get time to like get used to shifting gears.

That's cool! I did my course on a DR200 and it was a great trainer! They also had a Grom which, imho, is pretty much a cheat code...
