I am new to riding. Will exclusively be riding in sunny summer hot weather.
I am about 32 waist in jeans, weigh 180 lbs, 5'10". I have muscular arms, chest, shoulder and back. When I put on most mediums (which is the right size in most things I wear) I cannot fit my arms in any medium jacket I tried. Large, I have the same problem with some BUT some large are very loose on my torso. Also, Large usually the arms are too long, so armor does not go where its supposed to.
Long story short, the only jacket I found that both fit my arms and had the armor in place was the ICON Mesh AF jacket. But if you don't know it, it is basically a mesh holder for armor. I would really like some abrasion resistance. There was a thicker mesh/textile jacket by Reax I could get my arms in the Large but the armor was way too far down my elbows to even be useful. I tried on a few other brands and either the armor is too far down because I need to wear a Large or XL or I wear a M or L and my arms don't fit or explode the seams on the armpits or back areas, I literally got stuck in one at a store and the lady had to help me out of it.
I was thinking of getting maybe a perforated leather vest or a Kevlar hoody to wear over/under the Icon Mesh AF.
Or should I just keep looking?

In the meantime I stopped going to the gym but I don't think that will help in time for this summer. :wink2:
