I just bought a used 2010 Hyosung gt250r and soon after I've realized the starter needs to be replaced. The person I bought it off him said that he can send me the parts to do so, but I'm not sure if I'd be better off sending it to the shop than attempting to repair it myself. So my question is, would it be difficult to repair with the provided parts? And how expensive would it be to have someone do it for me?

If you want to tackle it yourself, get the service manual and read the steps involved carefully. If it looks likes something you would be comfortable doing, go ahead. Otherwise, take it to the shop if it seems more than what you want to get into.
