I am parting out the entire bike because the right cylinder blew a piston on 9/16/2014 and too expensive for me to get fixed. So every part is up for sale other than what is broken. On 8/27/2014 I got a brand new front tire 110/70-zr17 and a brand new OEM starter motor. I have receipts for both.
I test rode a 2004 Hyosung GT250 in Seattle, the same year or maybe 2005, as I recall... Really NEAT bike and would have been a great commuter for the city! I think they ran somewhere around $3,000 new at the time. Just out of SHEER CURIOSITY, why is so expensive to repair? If the piston is wasted, a new slug would run about $125, $50-$80 for boring and maybe a valve job + gaskets... Did it take something out with it??? You might want to try selling the bike whole as "fixer upper"...
