hi i have a 78 honda cb400a which was imported from america to england, its in pretty poor shape and came without any exhaust pipes. the engine looks fine on the outside and the carbs are ok as well (fairly dirty inside tho) so my question is do i need to be worried about the inside of the engine or will it be fine?
ive included pics of inside the engine from the carb side and the outside of the engine too

Since the engine side cover was conveniently left off, you can try turning the engine by hand, with a strap wrench or spanner. If you can turn it by hand, in may be OK inside. I still might take of the engine bottom cover and have a look at the crank and transmission for water damage.
