I've found cemeteries a good place to get a good night's sleep. Noisy neighbors just aren't a problem. A lot of headstones have more info than just name, date of birth and death.
It may sound a bit silly, but I do try to show my respect, especially towards those that served. And I always find a place away from the actual graves.

I was traveling east on I-40 across the Texas pan handle once and ran into thick fog. Never knew they got fog that thick! I was driving my pickup and pulling a 30 foot gooseneck flatbed trailer. I just got in a line of semi trucks. I knew if anything happened ahead, it would be all over the CB radio.
I was in Oklahoma by the time I was able to see an exit in time to get off.

Didn't you worry about hydroplaning?

We got to the motocross track late one night, found a good spot to camp, and in the morning discovered we were in a cemetery.
Sometimes on the bike I would have to stop on account of fog, and deer on the road. Not safe to ride. Usually on the Hope Princeton Highway.
Some motel owners version of quiet is different than mine.

When I go to a vets funeral to stand a flag line, I spend my time waiting reading the tombstones. I wonder now if the new trend of what looks like very shallow art etching will stand the test of time like some of the deep heavy carvings of some century old headstones. Many of them now hard to read. Just doesn't seem possible these new things will last more than a few decades.
