Does anyone on this forum have a R1200RT and use it for 2 up touring? If so, does it do an adequate job? Does it have enough motor for carrying 2 people and luggage? Any issues at all that anyone can think of? Looking to get back into the sport after moving to N. Georgia and have been checking out BMWs, specifically this model. Any real world experience/knowledge anyone here can share would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Emilio

I’m in Middle TN and my wife and I have been riding two-up since we bought a 2015 RT a few months ago. We haven’t done any touring yet- rides of a few hours or so at most so far. The bike is very comfortable for two. Still nimble and torquey. Power is smooth and strong and with the suspension adjustments, takes bumps and corners nicely.

The seats are very slippery on the RT my wife slides up on me at every stop..... Looking to change them with some back rest or different material, other than that it can handle all that and then some........lol So did you get the bike Emilio you out there ?????

I’ve got a Russell day long with a backrest—has good scalloped seat for the back passenger. I’ve not had this problem....
