katana help

I had some of the same problems with my 97 katana 600, my never died though. Adjusting the throttle knob helps but wait till you have ridden the bike for 30 to 45mins before adjusting the throttle knob, that may be why it is idling so high after you have been driving. Once it is warmed up it will be more accurate on the RPMS as opposed to doing it in your driveway. As far as the rpms staying high when you let off the gas ive been told that is something that most carbourated bikes do and not to really worry about it. Also try reving the throttle slightly when you come to a stop, it helps mine go back down to around 1000
