I am new to this forum as I am looking for some advice on how to fix my bike. I just bought the bike used, 2009 kamasaki 250, it ran fine, until now. Starts up for a second and then dies out. I noticed when I Shake the bike and then start it, it stays on longer before dieing, I’m guessing it some something to do with fuel or a clog but any ideas help

It could be a fuel flow issue. I would turn off the fuel valve and check the carb fuel drain immediately after it stops running to see if there is still fuel in the carb at that time. That will let you know if the problem lies with the float valve in the carb.
Is the petcock free flow or vacuum operated? What model Kawasaki 250?
