I'd post a pic of the bike, But they say I have to have 15 posts to be able to post a Pic. Kinda odd as most forums want to see a bike.

Well at least I could post it as my avatar. I guess I'll post a regular pic when I have 15 post.

Hello Dirty & welcome to the Forum.

There is a post requirement to help deter trolls and such. It seems to help because we have a great Forum here. I tried to post a pic of your bike for you but it didn't come out any larger. You'll get to 15 soon.

As MONI said, trolls are a pain so once you reach your 15 post count your good to go on your pictures.

Not that there is anything wrong with a more classic version of the BMW.............but just wondering:

1. Why an older bike, and not a newer one?
2. What sold you on BMW, as opposed to other brands?

Welcome Dirty!

This is a nice forum with some good folks.

Where do you live?

The BMW R65 is a great bike and so very easy to work on.

I had a new 1987 R65 in silver and it was amazing.

I traded a new 1986 VF500 Honda Interceptor on it, which at the time was one of Honda's best handling bikes and found out after the very first ride that the BMW handled much better than the Honda.
