Saw that on the news, they all lived. This video doesn't show the fire fighter who was trying to get into the unit jump off just before impact.

you might want to google the 2 ailments, particularly autism, (but ADHD too) before you commit your tax dollars to imprison the perpetrator. a person with a severe case of either is going to occasionally, do something "stupid". jail will cure neither affliction. it will, i admit, limit the opportunity for the afflicted to get hold of unattended vehicles and/or sharp objects during his/her period of incarceration.

A strong love for vehicles is common among people with Autism. Without proper treatment, Autistic teens (and adults) often won't have a firm concept of right and wrong. Most likely the kid saw the ambulance and wanted to play with it, not having the faculties to understand the ramifications of said decision making.

Jail time will only make the issue worse. What they really need is proper treatment/care and further understanding of right and wrong. But even then, treatment isn't 100% foolproof.
