Nova Scotia to Alaska

Good morning fellow-roadies.

I'm from Nova Scotia, Canada and I ride a 1600 Vulcan, which is chomping at the bits to get back on the trail! I'd like to depart NS in June to head north, for the Yukon, and likely to Alaska.

Any takers? I'd like to put in about 600 km a day, stay at roadside motels, avoid cities and ride in most weather.

Here's to another safe season!
Happy riding.

Hello Raylene! I hope you find a great fellow traveler. My Dad and I rode from southern NJ thru New England. We took the The Cat from Bar Harbor, Maine to Yarmouth, then did the Cabot Trail counter-clockwise. It was late June, 2003. What a fantastic trip. Dad: 2001 HD with trike kit. Me: 1982 Honda GL500i aka Silverwing Happy Trails!

I'm happy you squeezed in our Cabot Trail .... being from Cape Breton, I always enjoy hearing impressions of our island. Glad you were pleased. :giggle: Sounds as if you had great trip with your Dad. What memories to have forever, and thank you for the kind wishes.

Haha!
Just reread my original post ... My bike is a 2019 650 Vulcan. Well maintained. Not a 1600. (I'm not that much of a bad ass to pull it off, though I had been reading/dreaming about them.)

I should've also added that I rode from NS-BC return last June and loved the experience.

Again .... Happy/safe riding,
Raylene

Wow. That's around 11,000kms. That's one long trip. Impressive. And one beautiful drive.
Ciamar a tha Thu.

Planning to head to head up to Dawson from Vancouver and further as weather ect permits. Booked in to eagle plains for the solstice. Might see you up there.
One of these days I’d love to ride the Cabot Trail and Cape Breton for a wee dram.
