One of my roadracing buddies used to say "If you don't crash every once in a while you're not going fast enough". The last time he crashed it all but killed him. For about three months after he couldn't do ANYTHING for himself. Family had to move in with him to care for him. His employer told him "stop racin or you're fired". Now he scuba dives. I pray for him and his loved ones.
He was FAST! I've seen him do what can not be done on track and without crashing... A few times.

My employer begged me to come back ...And I did , after 14 months ... took my 4 wheeler to work to get from one shop to the others , to the parts counter , and the front offices ..then on crutches to do my job ....Never lifted a wrench for about 2 more years ... Could'nt fire me , could'nt stop me from racing , We owned the track .......

His employer held his job for him all the other times he was out because of a crash injury. They held his job for him again after the latest near death / LONG recovery crash but only if he agreed to stop racing. Can't blame them. A business needs their people to be able to show up after the weekend.

Back in the day when I was in the Air Force, there was talk about doing dangerous off duty sports, etc that if you got killed or seriously hurt you could loose your Medical or Life Insurance. I remember going to M16 training in West Germany when our AF blue bus flipped on the Autobahn and M16's where flying everywhere. I had to climb out through the front windshield and spent a week in the hospital. I felt reborn when they pulled two IV's, the hose in my nose and the catheter. So I walk down the hallway with my butt showing cause I couldn't tie the gown with the Nurses screaming at me and said I don't care I'm going to the rest room, no more bed pans for me LOL.

As I said that is ONE personal examples, I have experienced plenty more of corrupt cops being sheltered by their support system of fellow cops, and I am a very law abiding citizen with no record outside a few speeding tickets.
You don't fight a cop, because even if just one was a corrupt criminal, they all support that one. They will make your life miserable.
There is no criminals as bad as the police, because you can fight back with a criminal. When a police officer decides to steal from you, or beat, rape, or just harass you, all you get to do is sit there and take it and crawl away as quietly as you can when they are done and hope they forget about you.
That's what makes our police so bad here.

So the cop handed me my ticket, shook my hand and said "pleasure to met you". I almost laughed, but of course I didn't.
He started out looking to make trouble with me, a black jacket wearing motorcycle guy... I fixed that !
Not the only time I handled a copper on the side of the road.
Dang it ! .. I was going to stay out of this one. Okay. No more from me on this.

Not going to tell you about the time the DPS trooper told me THREE times I could talk to the judge about this ticket (87 in a 60) if I wanted to either. (I had just been running 125 when I grabbed the binders after noticing about half strength on radar detector)

It is racism that cops very, VERY commonly treat white people differently than other races, but it isn't my racism, and it is well documented.

I lost my modesty years ago. Operation after operation tends to do that to you. The only thing that still bothers me is having to tell the nurses they have to dig deeper to find the gold and clean me up after a BM. I asked one nurse how they deal with it. Her words, "it's just part of the job we signed up for". I'd even have trouble doing it for my wife and that's near the playground back there.That's probably why they started putting the tie on the side. Too many of us just don't care who sees our junk.

Yeah ! Before I retired from the AF my wife asked if I would get a Vasectomy so she could get off the pill and I said sure. Went in for the procedure and a cute young lady did the prep work and all I can say is look out manhood rising LOL. She probably felt the same way, if you seen one you seen a thousand. out of 4 cops I’ve known socially over the years, 2 shouldn’t have been able to wear a badge, 2 were great people. Don’t you have a riot, uh, I mean peaceful protest to get to?
