I didn't know anything was free nowadays, usually you have to pay for everything now. I think they just wizened up and decided to get in on the action, no doubt they can probably use the money.
A tour of the Hoover Dam is priced like a trip to Disneyland.
$10 to park your car and you'll need to keep your wallet open from that point on...
Back in the 90's, the first time I visited, it was all free...you could enjoy a day at the dam and spend nothing. Now it's an arm and a leg and WAY TOO MANY PEOPLE....geesh was I shocked...the rip off pricing, the crowds...I'll never see it again.
Las Vegas...sigh...I feel sorry for anyone that didn't frequent Vegas in the 90's...it was a great place...now, wow, what a mess...TOO MANY PEOPLE and everything is ridiculously expensive. Back in those days, there were casino's with parking lots out front, pull up, park, walk in...$2.99 steak and lobster at the Stardust...99 cent one pound hot dogs that would have you barfing at the 8oz mark...lol...they were good times. The wife and I could fly out for 3 days, have a great time for ~$400 total...airfair, hotel, food, everything...$400 gets you 2 nights in a decent hotel today and man is food pricey in the casino's...WOW!
$10 to see the Harly plant...ok, maybe...around here, they have shows (RV's, Home and Garden, Wedding, etc.) and they charge $10 to come in and look! WTH? They want $50 for wife and three kids just to walk through the door...they're nuts.
