I was watching American Pickers and they found a guy with a bunch of old Harley forks, some custom chopper forks in the bunch. They mentioned that there was no front brake on a chopper. Does anyone know why?

Interesting. But whatever bike they were converting would have had front brakes. Why discard them? It seems like an important part ;)
That is what the regular folks think. Some chopper front wheels did not have provision for brakes. An after market part. Some have a turning radius the size of a footy field.
Try and ride one sometime. Bloody disaster IMO.
