Hello Everyone, my name Is Wayne King. I am 70 years old and have been riding for over 50 years. My wife Carol has been riding her own for over 25 years. We are a Suzuki family. We ride Boulevards now, I a 2006 S83 (1400cc V-Twin),Carol a 2008 S50 (800cc V-Twin). Prior to these we both had Suzuki Intruders, me a 1400 and Carol an 800. These Bikes are the most reliable I have ever ridden. I have a 1992 1400cc Intruder that I have been riding for 28 years. It has never been to a shop for repairs other than Tires and it has over 52,000 miles on it. I have other bikes too, a 1972 Triumph 650cc Bonneville T120R Chopper,1977 Honda CB750 SOHC Chopper,1975 Honda Goldwing,1972 Honda CB750 SOHC Basket Case, and last but not least 1 more Suzuki Intruder a 1400cc. We live in Virginia where the Blue Ridge Parkway is our Sandbox. Thanks

Welcome Wayne. Fantastic stable of iron horses you have there & one of the best pastures to turn them loose in. Enjoy the site.
Welcome from Pennsylvania. Suzuki makes good bikea and it's cool that you both ride one brand, my wife is a rider too but we have a mixed garage, she has 2 Indians and a Suzuki Vstrom 650, I have 3 Victorys and a Honda. Her daughter rode a Suzuki Marauder for a while till she sold it to get an Indian, I rode it a few times, it was a very nice bike!
Welcome hope you enjoy it here. If you are up to it check out the Intruders-Alert chat, we have some great information on the Intruder and a small group of guys that love the Intruder line up. Just google Intruders-Alert and sign up.

Hello. Unkle Krusty from Kamp Krusty on Gabriola Island here.
The 71 72 Triumphs were the safest to buy. 5 speed and disc brake models.
I have a 006 Sv1000S Suzuki.

Thanks, but actually my '72 Bonneville is a T120R not V so no 5-speed and no Disc brakes. I wish it were.

Welcome to the forum from North Carolina.

Are you anywhere near The Meadows of Dan, by the Blue Ridge Parkway? I've ridden up a couple of times with friends who said the pie was worth the 6 hour round trip. I think the pie was ok, but the ride was worth the trip. Beautiful country :)

Yes, Meadows of Dan is about 100 miles south of Roanoke,VA on the Blue Ridge Parkway. We can be on the Parkway in 15 Min. from Home. Then You can go north for over 200 miles or south for over 200 miles. Where did you get your pie. Was it Mabry's Mill? That is a beautiful place. The Pancakes are awesome, if you can get there before they are all gone.

Yes, Mabry's Mill is the place. Haven't had their pancakes, but that's a good excuse to ride there again!
