As the title says, I bought a 2015 BMW K1600GTL. I've been watching the market as my 2009 Harley has 89,000 miles and I've been wanting something new... different. The HD has been perfect but I really wanted an electronic windshield and had decided that this fall I was going to buy a new '18 or '19 Gold Wing. I was surfing the ad's on CycleTrader and found this bike in town with only 1,260 miles for $15,500. I bought it for $15,250, had it serviced and I'm now a BMW owner. I'm on the fence about selling the Harley. It's part of me, and I work so hard to ensure that it looks and rides like new but I'm not sure I need to bikes that serve a similar purpose.

I loved my K bike vista but it was never a replacement for my Harley. I was very sorry I sold it so I'd suggest you keep yours for at least a year or until the new wears off the new bike. And congrats on a good fined in that regard. I'm betting you'll love it but Harleys scratch a completely different itch. Good luck.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. I'll hold onto it for a while. Its just a different animal. I was explaining to my riding buddies that the BMW is just a precision tool. I can go buy as many Precision Tools as I need. But the Harley has personality, it's more than just a piece of transportation that I use to get from A to B. I don't want to go outside and stare at the BMW, but I love polishing the Chrome and cleaning up the Harley and then taking a ride on a gleaming motorcycle.

That being said I took a ride on the BMW yesterday. It's quite a machine. Had to pass a car in the mountains, I twisted the throttle and before I knew it was doing 106.

Love the K1600 GTL.. Good Riding Friend has one and let me test it but my inseam is too short to be comfortable at low speed handling .. While moving totally thought it was a Great Ride ..
You should buy a copy of Ride Like A Pro. It will take care of your low speed/parking lot issues.
