Hi Everyone,
I just bought my first motorcycle... an old '80 CB650. The bike runs pretty good but does have a few minor glitches. I was able to drive it home, but the battery died as I parked it in my driveway. (I don't think it was charged long enough not a rotor or stator problem. I charged it and haven't seen any issues since.) The only other noticeable issue is there a hole in an exhaust pipe that smoke pours out... so I might try and seal that. I might try to synch the carbs, but I might wait until I'm a little more comfortable with the bike first. Other than doing a tune-up myself, I don't think there's much that needs to be done... knock on wood.

Anyway, I bought a Clymer manual to walk me through the tune-up process... but if anyone has any suggestions, please let me know!

Good luck!
What kind of hole in the exhaust pipe? Why is it smoking so much?
